Staying safe and taking risks

Class: Sunshine Room Forest School Year: 2021 - 2022

Spending time in Forest School ensures that our children naturally begin to learn to assess risk and are encouraged to make sensible and informed decisions about how to deal with unfamiliar and unpredictable situations- this could be using woodwork tools, climbing trees, balancing or building shelters and dens for example. 

We encourage the children to test their own abilities and support their independant learning as well as promoting engagement and problem solving alongside their peers.
