Each Garden room child goes to Forest school once a week.

We attend year round whatever the weather, apart from in high winds.

The children learn to challenge themselves, take risks and try out new activities.  We focus on the children's characterisitics encouraging them to develop curiosity, resiliance, perserverance and willingness to try.

We follow the children's leads letting them decide what they would like to explore each week in the forest.

We have a planned activity available each week that might link to a seasonal activity or previous week’s interest but these are not set activities that the children must complete.

These can be useful to focus or involve a child who otherwise would be unsure what to try next or they can spark an interest and further investigation for some children.
