As a maintained nursery school we are inspected under the same Ofsted framework as any primary or secondary school.  We are proud to have been judged 'Outstanding' in our last four consecutive Ofsted inspections, the most recent of which was March 2023

2023: OUTSTANDING

In March 2023, inspectors said "Sandy Lane Nursery and Forest School is a magical place for young children to play and learn in."

2017: OUTSTANDING

In November 2017, inspectors said “it is a treasure trove of opportunities just waiting for the children to enjoy.”

2012: OUTSTANDING

In November 2012, inspectors said “the school continues to be outstanding in all areas and has even improved since the previous inspection.”

2010: OUTSTANDING

 In April 2010, inspectors praised our ‘magical atmosphere of calm, nurture and fun’.
