SS.Term 2.1 What do I know about Winter? End of term

The children in Sunshine Room have enjoyed learning about Winter. To develop our understanding of our big question of "What do I know about Winter?" we enjoyed learning about winter animals and their habitats by looking through books, reading stories and using the small world winter animals during play.

During group time the children enjoyed exploring the winter clothing and were encouraged to be independant by putting their own hats gloves scarves and coats on ready for outdoor play.

During our forest school visits the children enjoyed making some bird feeders. This supported the children's understanding of how we can look after the birds during the Winter months.

The children ended this term with a visit from Father Christmas who was very happy to see us all and gave the children a special gift, the children also enjoyed Christmas dinner and their Christmas party with lots of dancing and party games.
