Forest School Fire Safety

The children have been enjoying exploring the forest in the sunshine and have been learning all about fire safety around the forest school fire. We are so proud of how responsible the children have been, they sit sensibly on the fire circle logs and wait their turn to cook delicious treats on the fire with Jo. The children often enjoy toasted marshmallows on the fire and help Jo to toast them by sitting close to her with a marshmallow on a long stick that goes into the fire so we can keep back and keep safe. When the marshmallows have been toasted we all count to ten to let the marshmallow cool down before we squish between some biscuits so make a delicious shmore. The children love their forest school sessions and it is lovely to see them grow in confidence as they explore the natural environment.
