SS. Term 2.1 What do I know about Winter?

Our big question this term is "What do I know about Winter?"

We will introduce this topic by firstly looking through some non - fiction books at the illustrations and talking about what we can see.

We will be exploring various activities to learn all about 'Winter' and things associated with winter, things like winter clothes to keep warm, winter colours, snow and ice.

We will aslo be learning about winter animals and their habitats and during our forest school sessions we will idenitfy winter birds and learn how to look after them over the winter period by making them bird feeders.

We will be having fun with lots of Christmas activities, making cards, decorations and learning new Christmas songs ready for our Christmas family preformance.  A very special guest, Father Christmas will take some time out in his busy schedule to visit the children in our Sunshine Room. We will also have a wonderful Christmas dinner made for us by Jo and will be celebrating the end of Term with a Christmas Party!
