Term 1.1 Big Question "What do I know about me?" 2023

Each half term we have a big question for the children, this term is "What do I know about me?".

To help the children to answer the question we will use mirrors to look at our facial features and then we will draw self potraits to help the children to deepen their understanding of the different features they have. 

The children will use mirrors to draw self-portraits, we will look at photographs of our families and our pets and talk about them together during group times. We will participating in dance, yoga and use the gym equipment to explore how our bodies move. We will sing nursery rhymes together like 'Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" to further embed the new words we are learning together. 

The children will also have the opportunity to work with Debs the potter to create clay self portraits.
