Sunshine Room - Big Question - End of Term Summary - Term 1:1

This half-term the children have been thinking about our 'big question'...

What do I know about me?

The children have enjoyed lots of opportunties to explore everything they know about themselves; their families, their pets, what they like and dislike. It has been lovely to see the children get to know one another and develop friendships.

We have also enjoyed learning one of our focus rhymes 'head, shoulders, knees and toes'. The children have become very confident at naming their different body parts and this has helped them in the various art activities we have tried, from self portraits to using loose parts to make their faces.

Some of the children completed home learning about themselves and their families, and have been able to share this with their peers.

The children are now able to talk about themselves and their families at their own level and have a secure sense of belonging as part of our Nursery. They are able to talk positivity about themselves and show increased understanding of the similarities and differences between themselves and their friends.
