Welcome To and Welcome Back to Forest School

It has been lovely to be back in Forest school this half term. We welcomed back our returning children who have helped to show our new friends our forest environment and places to explore.

We have explored the mud kitchen, where we have been making cakes and soup We have built some shelters using tarpaulin and the mallets, and even tried to climb the trees.

We have introduced our Forest school rules of 'Good looking' 'Good listening' 'Kind hands' 'No picking no licking! (mushrooms and berries) and 'Up to the sky down to the ground' (how we hold sitcks) and talked about how the rules keep us and our friends safe. We will continue to reinforce these rules of the forest at every session.

We have begun to practice our fire safey rules of not walking in the fire circle, and remembering to sit on our stump at snack time.

We look forward to lots of exciting times in the forest on our forest Tuesdays.
