Maintenance Officer required as soon as possible (permanent appointment)

25 hours per week (five days, flexible shifts), all year round 

Grade 5 – £19,446 – £21,693 (salary scale points 14-18) pro rata (£10.08-£11.24 per hour)


The governors would like to appoint a well-motivated and enthusiastic maintenance officer with experience as a time-served tradesperson.

The successful applicant will be a team player, flexible and hard-working, with a willingness to undertake training as required.  S/he should also have:

  • Practical skills to improve the site and buildings
  • Ability to understand H&S legislation and motivate staff in complying with H&S issues
  • Ability to respond to emergencies and problems in a positive and systematic manner
  • Good communication skills (including basic IT knowledge)


The school was Ofsted inspected in 2010, 2012 and 2017 and graded as “Outstanding” on each occasion.
